I'll keep this short. You have things to do.
I've been a carpenter in one respect or another since I was knee high. I worked my way through college (twice) as a carpenter. Later I joined our family business—my father was a respected local builder and remodeler. His father was a carpenter. His grandfather was a builder. It's a legacy in my family.
Pride and integrity are also our legacy. My father built homes, taught and mentored other carpenters, and volunteered his time in Central Minnesota for decades. He always strove to do the best job he could, honestly and efficiently. That's the only way I know how to do it, too.
I'm now in the third quarter of life's game, if luck holds, and I've decided to finish out my professional life serving my community through my accumulated skills and knowledge doing the small jobs that folks often need done the most. It won't be big and impressive, but I know it brings me joy and satisfaction. I hope it does the same for you.
